Delineation of PFAS Contamination

The Problem

PFAS contamination was discovered in a small urban creek after a major warehouse fire. The client was required to delineate impacts associated with aqueous film forming foams (AFFF) use and design and implement a remedy.

The Solution

TIG Environmental’s scientists worked with counsel and local regulators to evaluate the analytical data and delineate impacts consistent with AFFF versus other sources of contamination. The delineation was based on spatial distribution of AFFF associated substances and the application of cleanup thresholds

Value Added

The results of the analysis were used to narrowly define the spatial extent of AFFF impacts and limit the scope of the investigation and remediation.
